Look for a good deal but be fair to your salesperson

I have been in the car business for a long time and I have seen tough times. I spend more time posting, building links, working the Internet to help gather more opportunities to get a customer in front of me. I tell you, its just not the same as it once was. To give you an example; I was out walking my dogs Sunday as my wife and I do every Sunday morning. This weekend we ran into a couple of my neighbor's that were coming the other way. They know I'm a "Car Guy" one asked me how I was doing at work. I paused and said, I enjoy working and hanging out with my Friends at Ford of Kirkland. However even though we are selling cars, its just not the the lifestyle my wife and I have been accustom to. She mentioned that she was related Bill Pierre and he told her he was re-thinking what he was doing as they are not doing the business they once did. He did mention he had passed the business on to a son who was working the car stores. After all he had other investments to survive on.

As for my self, I need to figure out a better way to convince my clients that I can help them and hope they do not mind paying a profit when buying a new car. I know that any one can look up how to buy a car and not pay the dealer pricing, but hey its a business just like any other, profit is not a bad thing.

I would like to end this post with this;

Next time your out shopping, look for a good deal but be fair to your salesperson, they make a living off commissions and if you treat them right, it will come back to you. Be smart, not arrogant about were the car business is and we all will get through this.

1st drive in a Fusion hybrid

Today I had the chance to take the first test drive around our Ford dealership in a Hybrid Fusion, I took a short drive and yet was very impressed. I'm sure the next owner will be impressed with the new standard for performance and fuel economy Ford put into this car. 41 City, 36 HWY.

Wow what a great car. Quiet and smooth ride, felt like it has more power than 175 Horse power (13 more than Ford's last Hybrid Engine) and I was able to cruise at 43 mpg on the 275 volt (Ni-MH0) battery. Ford boast it can do 47 on Electric and with time I'm sure this is a reality. We have been offered just a few and I would guess these will be sold out soon. Check with your tax accountant as you will get great tax benefits with the purchase of this vehicle.

Call or Contact us at Ford of Kirkland for more information on the new 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid today! Dan's direct line 425-295-6170 or call Dan Lozott on his cell @ 425-344-7556

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid arriving soon

Get a 2010 Hybrid Ford Fusion On sale NOW, Hurry they will be sold out soon.

The 2010 Hybrid Fusion is rated at 41 m.p.g. city and 36 m.p.g. highway. The Fusion Hybrid is a complete car, with some advantages over the competition. Like the Prius and Camry, its hybrid system has an electric motor boosted by a gasoline engine in this case, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. With both motors working together, the output is 191 horsepower, driving the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Point of interest a four-cylinder gasoline-powered version that, in its own right, delivers 23 city and 34 highway.

The Fusion's regenerative braking system, which recovers up to 94 percent of braking energy (the electric motor does the bulk of the braking, turning into a generator and using the recovered power to recharge the battery pack). Thus brake pads are expected to last three to five times longer.

Ford stacked the battery pack behind the rear seat. That still allows for a large trunk. The "battery" actually is 208 individual cells the size of a household 'D' cell.

The Fusion can reach 47 mph on electric power alone – provided you have the right touch on the throttle.

You don't feel the gasoline engine kick in or cut out because of the powertrain control module is calibrated to ease the transition.

Oil change intervals are expected to be at 10,000 miles because the engine does only half the work in this hybrid configuration.

Aside from the power train, the new Fusion Hybrid is virtually the same as a Fusion SEL, which is to say it's been substantially upgraded from the original model. The exterior styling has been freshened to improve aerodynamics and give the Fusion a wider look.

Most noticeable are the interior styling changes, with redesigned seats and extensive use of upscale soft-touch materials, which together fashion a substantial, near-luxury ambiance. The front seats are big, deep and supportive and the outboard back seats also offer decent comfort, though not an excess of knee or head room. The center-rear position is impossibly cramped.

On the road, the Fusion Hybrid is serenely quiet and the drive train is so sophisticated that it's difficult to discern when the gasoline engine kicks in and out. Handling is secure and the ride is comfortable.

We have one due to arrive @ Ford of Kirkland in Atlantis Green soon!!!

Or you can order one, hurry they will sell out before it arrives at most Dealership lots, if you have not pre-ordered.

Please contact Dan Lozott @ 425-295-6170 for ordering information.

2010 Ford Mustang GT Sets Unofficial World Drift Record At 6285 Ft.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. likes to drift Mustangs, doing it for a living on the pro-drift circuit. Now he's looking to set the unofficial world record longest drift in a nearly stock 2010 Ford Mustang. Maligned for its old-timey solid rear axle setup, the Mustang remains a favorite of oversteering hoons like Vaughn, and with 315 HP it's only a throttle blip away from tail-out super-happy-fun-time. This particular run for 0-60 magazine happened at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and trumped the previous 4137 foot record with a solid 6285 feet of driftage. The Guinness Book of World Records hasn't yet certified the attempt, but the video evidence should make the claim Bullitt-proof (hehe). Hopefully this kind of thing doesn't become the next measuring stick of performance like the Nurburgring or quarter mile times, as only tire manufacturers would be the true winners in such stunts.
